FAQ
What is ARDA?
ARDA is a down-to-earth creative design agency specialized in Retail Design, where interior and graphic design are inextricably linked. We use our experience in retail strategy, design & realisation to achieve the best possible end result for our customers.
What Building Standards and Regulations do you follow?
We work worldwide and as well as working in both metric and imperial measurements, we follow international standards and regulations applicable to the UK, the US, Europe and Asia.
We follow the International Building Code (IBC), and UK building regulations.
If you are unsure about the rules applicable in your area – feel free to contact us via service@arda.co.
Are you real Architects?
In some countries, the title Architect is protected by law and reserved only to members of certain local associations. ARDA is a global company and since we operate in multiple territories we refer to our experts as ‘architectural designers’ in order to comply with local laws.
We work with a qualified and highly experienced team of hand-picked architectural designers to guaranty the highest level of practice for our customers.
How do I know if the assigned retail designer is any good?
We understand that each project is unique, and your project manager will always match the most experienced person with the most relevant knowledge for the job. We work with a qualified and highly experienced team of hand-picked architectural designers to guaranty the highest level of practice for our customers. However, if you are not satisfied with the choice of designer, your project manager will offer another team member for the job.
What if I don’t like what I’m getting?
Your satisfaction is our top priority. If we feel that your requirements are not achievable, we will offer you other possible alternatives that meet your goals. If you think that your goals are still not met, your project manager will assign someone else from our design team.
How does it work?
Our service is offered through a unique online platform. The work process involves 4 steps:
1. Intake: Fill in your intake questions. We’ll review your requirements and get back to you if anything is unclear.
2. Set Up: We’ll assign an online work-space for your project and set up a project team that matches your specific requirements.
3. Design: Chat with your team and review hand sketches of your new design. Revisions can be made based on your feedback until you are satisfied with the proposed design.
4. Final Delivery: Depending on the service level you choose, we’ll provide hand sketches, floorplans and 3D images that show the approved design.
What information do I need to provide?
Since we perform our service remotely, we rely on the information you provide about the space you wish to redesign.
Any information you can provide would be useful: floorplans, layout drawings, hand sketches, logo, photos or a list of measurements.
Do I have to pay upfront?
Our fixed-price store-design service comes with a free trial, so you can try out our service without having to pay anything before the work starts. You are free to change your mind for any reason during your trial. No questions asked! And you don’t have to pay for the work already done.
Will you keep my credit card and other personal details?
We do not keep your credit card details. Payments are processed through our payment partner, ‘stripe’.
Should I not hire a local architect or retail designer ?
Not all architectural and design services can be done remotely, but many services can. With so much of our daily lives already taking place online, being an internet-based business allows us to deliver high-standard design work with the convenience, clarity and affordability you may not get from your local architect or designer. Unlike your local architect or designer, we also offer complete peace of mind service, which includes a free trial, free revisions and a fixed price.
I know exactly what I want… What do I need you for?
No one knows you better than you know yourself, so knowing what you want can help immensely during your design process. But find right positioning on the market, space planning, design does require expertise which you or your builder or retail equipment supplier might not have. The risk of living with a mistake or missing design opportunities can be costly. Involving an expert does not mean surrendering your wishes. A good retail designer will incorporate your design solution, validate it and introduce new solutions you may otherwise miss out on.
