Architectural graphic pattern design
Metro Stations Mitchurinskaya and Ozernaya.
In cooperation with architect of the new upcoming metro line Leonid Borzenkov, two patterns for the metro stations have been developed.
The objective was to create a kind of "architectural wallpaper" that is conceptually connected to the name or location of the station.
Station Mitchurinskaya is called in the name of geneticist Mitchurin, who has invented a specific and very famous sort of apples. That's why the theme is blossoming apple trees. Another station is located in the area where there are many lakes, that's why the topic of the patterns are waterlelies and dragonflies. Both stations are now launched with big success.. The style and aesthetics was inspired by japanese patterns.
